What the site saves on your device, what each item does and how to clear or control it.

This notice should be read with our privacy policy. It covers cookies and similar technology used on aboutsextoys.com, including local storage in your browser. The site is designed to work with a small set of functional storage rather than an advertising profile.
Cookies and local storage are not the same thing
A cookie is a small value a website can ask a browser to save and send with later requests. Local storage keeps data in a browser profile without automatically attaching it to every request. Both are covered here because they save or access information on your device and can be controlled through browser settings.
Essential and functional browser storage
The AboutSexToys interface currently uses the following local-storage records:

These records are functional: blocking them can cause the age prompt to repeat, empty the bag or prevent saved products from persisting. They do not create an AboutSexToys customer profile and do not automatically follow you to another device or browser.
Analytics and site measurement
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand page use, navigation, errors and site performance. Where the law requires consent, analytics storage is not set until you choose it. We configure measurement to minimize data, limit retention and avoid using sexual-wellness browsing to create advertising profiles. Analytics is not used for cross-site targeted advertising.
The preference interface will identify the active analytics provider, purpose, storage names and duration before non-essential measurement is enabled. If analytics is disabled, the store and checkout path should continue to function.
Checkout and linked services
When you continue to checkout, the AdultShopping checkout service, Shopify, a payment provider or fraud-prevention service may use their own essential cookies or similar technology to maintain the transaction, secure payment and prevent abuse. Those services explain their storage and choices in the notices presented at checkout. Social-network, carrier and brand links are also controlled by the destination site after you open them.
How to control or clear storage
- Use the site's cookie-preference control to accept, reject or revisit non-essential categories when that control is shown in your region.
- Use your browser's privacy or site-data settings to inspect, block or clear cookies and local storage for aboutsextoys.com.
- Private-browsing mode generally removes local records when the private session closes, depending on the browser.
- Browser privacy extensions and recognized opt-out signals can provide additional controls, although blocking essential storage can affect the bag and saved lists.
